National Association of State Procurement Officers (NASPO) Cloud Services
Options to simplify and speed up the contracting process
What is NASPO?
The National Association of State Procurement Officers (NASPO) is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping state and local government officials such as State Directors and Procurement Officials with support and purchasing resources to make procurement easier.
Using the leadership and expertise of all states with the purchasing power of their public entities, NASPO ValuePoint delivers best value, reliable, competitively sourced contracts. By aggregating the demand of all 50 states, NASPO’s sourcing teams have conducted and evaluated competitive solicitations resulting in robust master agreements you can leverage.
For instance, the Cloud Solutions contracts provide state and local government with a variety of opportunities to purchase services and ‘off-the-shelf’ SaaS solutions from providers like C!A without having to endure a lengthy and expensive procurement process.
What are the benefits?
- Faster
- Less Expensive
- Less resource intensive
The NASPO Cloud Services contract is a multi-state, cooperative purchasing agreement that allows cloud service providers who met the requirements of the competitive solicitation process to provide a range of cloud-based services and solutions compliant with federal security and privacy regulations, and these can be customized to meet the unique needs of state and local government agencies.
NASPO contract vehicles are designed to simplify the procurement process for government agencies, reduce costs, and increase efficiencies. By leveraging the pre-negotiated pricing and terms of the original NASPO contract agreement, government agencies can access cloud-based services quickly and easily, without the need for a lengthy and complex procurement process.
Cooperative purchasing is becoming more popular because it can save significant time and money in contract production as well as lowering contract prices through the power of aggregation.
For example, administrative efforts and costs are spread across multiple governments. So instead of seeking quotes, bids or proposals, customers can simply select products and services from the cooperative contract catalog, saving considerable time and effort. NASPO ValuePoint emphasizes best value from its contractors considering price, quality, reliability, warranties, and service, while protecting states’ interests with favorable terms and conditions.
Can My Agency Use NASPO?
If the state you are located in has executed a statewide participating addendum with one or more NASPO ValuePoint contractors, you can typically purchase from the Master Agreement as you would any other state contract without any cost to you.
Using NASPO ValuePoint Cloud Solutions contracts are easy, with 387 participating addenda across the country. Offering a wide variety of cloud solutions, NAPSO offers the opportunity for agencies like you to partner with C!A through Master Agreements with our partners, Carahsoft, Insight, and SHI.
